Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and also the application of child victims in court settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won several prizes and grants. She works with a variety of nations and organizations around the world regarding policies as well as the study of child victimization in the court system. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
