Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, from Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from music blogs as well as from the media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry's support for the song Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional recognition. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano that was in her basement and becoming enthralled by the sounds it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music for a love rather as a career. For this reason she started writing her own songs that were her own creations. Her sources include noted writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love for Bjork's style. She began performing her music in public when her mother said they could help people not to gain fame with her work, but instead help people see around them realize their importance and the ways they could impact the world. Piano was her first instrument, at six. She began making music at the age of nine. Her family didn't know about this until she was fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She claims that she enjoys writing songs. According to her, she believes that music can help any person feel better.
